MIDI2SDS, Features

- Convert Midi signals into SDS triggers, you could use it trigger some other drum machines.
- The unit has 8 trigger outputs, each is velocity sensative.
- Control of the 'gate' time, with the preset near the top of the PCB.
- It also has a 'learn' mode, which lets you assign different notes to different triggers, note you dont have to have all 8 triggers on the same channel, you can (if you want) have say four triggers on channel 10, two more on channel 11, one on channel 15 and one on channel 2.
- But now it has 8 LEDs, so you can see which channel is being triggered and which channel you are 'teaching'.
To use learn mode, you simply short the jumper until all the LEDs comes on, take off the short.
Then the LED for the first channel to be set will then flash once every second, indicating that it is waiting for a note to be assigned to trigger one.
Once received it will trigger output 1, and then flash the next LED twice every seconds showing it is waiting for trigger two's assignment.
Repeat for all 8 triggers, if you don't want to reprogram more than the first one or two, then wait, the unit will time out after roughly 4 seconds, saving any changes to trigger notes in FLASH memory.
Its a simple project, recomended for beginners as there are only 24 components to assemble.
