Defender, Sounds

Here you can here some tunes and sounds from Defender, bare in mind that these were recorded at various stages of the development.
3 Oscillator sounds
These sounds are recorded with the new version of the voicecard firmware
- 3 Oscillator Sweep (900Kb) 3 Oscillators, 50% over drive, portamento, a little LFO modulation on filter cutoff and a resonant filter sweep
Tunes
These are recorded on a multitrack recorder, one track at a time. I've added some effects (delay/reverb). All were recorded when Defender had two oscillators with two sub oscillators.
- Tangrammy (5.8Mb) A take on the Tangerine classic 'Tangram'
- Nagle-1 (2.8Mb) Midi file supplied from Paul Nagle
- Nagle-2 (3.7Mb) Midi file supplied from Paul Nagle
These are excerpts of single tracks from the above tunes
- Nagle-1a (652Kb) Bass line, agressive sound..
- Nagle-1b (528Kb) A wierd sort of line, that didn't fit with the tune above, so I left it out, but it's still an interesting sound.
- Nagle-1c (216Kb) Psycho Sync sound, madness.
- Nagle-2a (524Kb) Vocal wave change sequence, wave controlled by mod-wheel.
- Nagle-2b (432Kb) This was my first attempt at the above sequence, Paul neglected to tell me that he used the modwheel to control the wave, so this is it routed to LFO1 depth, completely nutty stuff.
- Nagle-2c (372Kb) Bass line sequence.
Single shot sounds
Mostly 'single shot' sounds to demonstrate things like filter sweeps, moduleation routings, etc.
- LFO polesweep (700Kb), LFO1 is controlling the filter cutoff and LFO2 is set to single shot and modulating the filter slope.
- Hard Sync (500Kb), Oscillator Sync, with sawtooth waves
